Garden deck
In 2024, I designed a deck of cards for my grandmother who loves all the small creatures in my late grandfather’s garden. I’ve always been drawn to illustrated or beautifully designed playing cards, and it was one of my favorite projects to work on. They are impractical, of course, for fast-paced games, but I wanted to make sure they were at least somewhat playable.
I am currently working on what it would look like to offer these cards for sale.
Stained Glass Deck
While I was creating the Garden Cards and sharing each one with my mom for critique and encouragement, I was secretly creating a second deck for her. My mom and I share a love for stained glass windows, so those were my next inspiration. The Garden deck became my decoy, and I had her fooled right up until Christmas day.
